OPT-NC is happy to announce the issue of this new international postage stamp celebrating Love and people in love, designed by acclaimed graphic design duo Sylvie Patte and Tanguy Besset, whose superb stamp creations have won many awards.
What could be more delightful than dreaming up a stamp to celebrate Love with a capital L, the noblest and finest feelings of our nature, uniting all mankind?
Love is always intense yet takes many forms... love shared or platonic, spoken or unspoken, lived to the full or only in our dreams, expressed with restraint or with passionate fervour. Every human heart touched by love swells with feelings of tenderness, longing, ecstasy and devotion yet also suffers the torments of doubt and anguish.
Love is the source and inspiration of the world’s greatest masterpieces, sublime works of art, literature, poetry, music and cinema... In 2020, in New Caledonia, Love is the inspiration for a remarkable postage stamp portraying two lovers, evoked by the tendrils of red sea fans, united in a tender kiss.
