Description

To ensure a stylish and propitious start to the New Year, OPT-NC is delighted to present a unique and innovative stamp issue showcasing all twelve signs of the Chinese horoscope. It’s the very first time that OPT-NC has issued a pane comprising stamps which are all different but have the same face value, namely 75 XPF.

Featuring every single zodiac sign, the pane includes the most stunning Chinese horoscope-themed stamp designs issued between 2003 and 2017, illustrated over the years by Jean-Richard Lisiak, Jean-Paul Véret-Lemariner and Jean-Jacques Mahuteau.

The Earth Pig, twelfth and final sign in the 12 year Chinese zodiac cycle, will rule over the year running from 5 February 2019 to 24 January 2020. Valued for their honesty, tolerance and discipline, Pigs are also generous, optimistic, persevering and trustworthy.

So the Year of the Pig promises to be rewarding and prosperous, bringing good fortune in matters of the heart and in financial dealings. You can look forward to happy relationships and good returns on investments.

People born in Pig years (1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007 & 2019) are considered to be high-minded, brave, calm and compassionate. They get on well with Goats, Tigers and Rabbits but sparks can fly when it comes to Monkeys or Snakes.
